JIS X 0213:2004実装水準4に対応したTrueTypeフォントです。
名前の通り、明朝体としてデザインされています。

シフトJIS版とUnicode版とがあります。
Windows 98ではシフトJIS版、Windows XPではUnicode版を使うと良いでしょう。
Unix系OSでも使用できます。

Macintosh用の形式に変換したフォントとしてKandataが利用可能です。
